    Recent improvements on site have involved:
    • Paving of large storage areas
    • Sealants sprayed on internal coal-based roads
    • Dust suppressants sprayed on coal piles
    • Festoon and spray system installed at Berth One
    • Misting sprays installed in both coal dumpers
    • Poplar trees planted at strategic points as wind screens
    • Booster pump added to enhance Central Tower sprays
    Westshore’s objective is to continuously improve and the terminal is working toward achieving ISO 14000 status, the world-wide standard for environmental management.
