A fleet of Caterpillar D10N, D10R, and D10T bulldozers grooms the stockpile to assist in pile compacting and coal reclaim. A coal feed outlet that enhances coal blending on site was added in 2006. Other equipment includes: 75-tonne Grove RT875E crane, front end loaders, a grader, water trucks, and a modern vehicle fleet.

Two coal sampling plants on site are run by independent sampling companies. Their job is to sample the coal that is being loaded on board the visiting ships.
